For my last night in Phoenix three of us decided to try The Angry Crab Shack for dinner. We were all a little skeptical, but when we say the place was pretty full we figured we'd made the right decision
When we arrived it was still happy hour so we all ordered beers and The gumbo fries and calamari clam strip combo for appetizers. The waitress explained the menu to us and we all chose to do the seafood pots. Pretty cool concept-you choose your seafood (they come in 1 pound increments only except for the lobster which starts at 1 1/2 pounds), you choose your sauce that they cook it with, you choose your spice level, and then anything else you want in your boil or as a side.
I decided on the headless shrimp and the snow crab clusters with the trifecta sauce (lemon, pepper, garlic, and butter) and medium spice (wasn't too spicy at all). I also ordered corn on the cob, coleslaw and garlic bread to sop up the sauce (bread was for the table). My coworkers also both ordered shrimp with one having the snow crab and one having clams. Love that your plate is the table and your utensils are your fingers.
Now obviously this was a LOT of food, but it was so over the top delicious that there was nothing left at the end except some bread, a few shrimp, and a few forkfuls of coleslaw. We hammered this food. A word of advise-don't fill up on appetizers and get some spice...it adds to the flavor.
As great as this meal was I was so over-full it hurt to walk and I was tasting garlic when I woke up the next morning. Seriously though, everything was great (except the booth was a little tight)...the food and service were excellent, the place was clean, the prices weren't too bad, and the beer was cold.
If anyone is interested, they are looking to sell franchises too! -

Seeing the overall reviews and ratings , i was very confused to visit this place even though this was in my top list since long. Finally, we decided to go here for dinner last night around 10 pm.
Very few places impress me to rate them 5-star and this is one that earned the same. From food to service to store members kindness, all I loved it.
Ordered 2 tap beer, peach special cocktail, crispy shrimp pho boy sandwich, 1 lb of snow crab, 1 lb head-off shrimp both in trifecta sauce. Wife loved the sandwich and I loved the cajun fries which came on the side. One of the best fries I would have ever had. We both felt everything to be so fresh. Beer was good too. Coming to snow crabs and shrimp , they both tasted extremely good that I can't even express. I was totally lost in eating. My wife loved watching me lost in eating LOL.
Crab was good portion and meaty. I saw many reviews before where they said they didn't get any meat inside but mine was completely opposite. I have never seen so much meat inside crab ever. Shrimp were big ones like tiger shrimp and taste very good. Trifecta was the winner here. It's so delicious that I would buy them separately too.
Coming to the restaurant people. Our server Blake was awesome and super fast. He addressed immediately, brought water immediately, came and checked on us multiple times and was quick enough in everything. For some issue in printing the tickets for kitchen staff to work on, there was an delay. So, store manager came to us and said sorry and offered 25% discount for the delay. Same thing he did on the next table too. To our surprise at the end of our delicious journey, they offered us $25 restaurant gift card too. They literally won our heart with their service and consideration. Discount was good enough for making customers happy but gift card offer was too good.
Customers will always return to such places where they are treated well. And I will for sure. Just want to say to everyone here, that don't only trust the bad reviews. Go and try and you will like it. -

If you like Fish and a nice, clean, and fun place to eat at, this is the place.
Try the lobster sandwich & alligator nuggets, that's my favorite.
Jake the bar tender & everyone else is very nice & helpful.
Highly recommended, I know I'll be back.
Thanks :) -

It was our first time at the angry crab shack. We had amazing service with a thorough explanation of the menu. The beer was great. The prices are a little high but felt the quality was comparable to what they were charging. We will definitely be back!

I was so impressed with this place. The waiter was the best -- very knowledgable, helpful, and quick! The food was incredible and reasonably priced. It felt good to get messy!
